Artist Bio: Lora Klosterboer owner of LorArts.
I have enjoyed various art forms in my youth, receiving an art award in junior high. I have had silkscreen prints, paintings and wood projects selected for art shows in school. Though a pharmacist by profession, I have a gift for making fine wire wrap jewelry designs.
My work was accepted into the Harry Wood Art Gallery for ADC’s juried Art Show at Arizona State University September 2010. I was one of thirty artists in the gallery, showing two of my necklace pendants. I specialize in unique jewelry in 14K Gold Fill and Argentium Sterling Silver.
I make one of a kind pieces, as I am inspired buy the natural beauty of jasper, agates, pearls and faceted gems. I have even wrapped a fossilized shell into a money clip. I won first place in a local wire wrap contest in Fountain Hills, AZ and received an honorable mention for “Best Wire Wrapping” in a Bead World, Scottsdale, Arizona “Summer Loving” contest.
I also enjoy sewing and making watercolor & Stampin Up greeting cards in my spare time. I breed freshwater discus fish, but find this to be more labor intensive!
